IDescription: An anonymous public architecture competition. The reason for launching this architecture competition entitled "A NEW DURMITOR HOUSE" is the occurrence of illegal and inappropriate building in the region of Durmitor Mountain which threatens to permanently devastate, both in form and appearance, this area of exceptional value (protected by UNESCO). The project aimed to promote the principles of traditional and ecological/green architecture in Durmitor, as a starting point for future building activities.

- Dr Dušan Vuksanović, an architect, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica and author of the book “Traditional architecture of Montenegro and bioclimate”
- M.Sc. Ljiljana Blagojević, an architect, a teaching fellow at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade
- Miloš Stanić, B.Sc. civil engineer, a president of the "Society of Friends of Mountain Durmitor, Žabljak
- Uroš Vuković, an architect, Belgrade, a member of the NGO EXPEDITIO

Participants:
Out of 98 applications for the competition that arrived from Montenegro (12), Serbia (79), Republic of Srpska (3), Slovenia je (1), Ukraine (1), England (1), USA (1), we received only 28 entries, 3 of which, unfortunately, arrived late, so that only 25 projects were considered by the jury. The authors of all projects are architects and students of architecture.
