"Sustainable management of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Adriatic " - is the title of the workshop that will be held on 10.04.2014., from 14:00 till 18:00h in the "Galerija solidarnosti" (Gallery of solidarity) in Kotor, organized by the Center for Conservation and Archaeology Montenegro.

The workshop is being implemented within the framework of the Fourth Meeting of the Cross-border project team of the project: "Improvement of potential UNESCO Sites in the Adriatic" in which the Center for Conservation and Archaeology - Montenegro is one of the partners. The public release of the Center for Conservation - Montenegro:

 "Project EX.PO AUS is realized through the IPA Adriatic Cross-border Program. Lead partner in this project is the City of Dubrovnik, Croatia, while the other partners are: City of Split, Istria Region, Croatia; Province of Ferrara, Ravenna Municipality - City Arts Museum, Municipality Alberobelo, Foundation Aquileia, Italy; University Primorska, Scientific and Research Center, Slovenia; Commission to Preserve National Monuments, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Office for administration and coordination of Butrint, Albania; Municipality of Corfu, Greece.

 The general objective of EX.PO AUS project is to establish a network of cooperation between UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Adriatic coast, in order to develop common long-term strategy for the sustainable management and evaluation of these areas, based on a high degree of innovation in the field of management, use of technology, protection of environment and energy efficiency.

 Within the project are realized several work packages with a variety of activities. One of them is WP3 - Cross-border Sustainable Management of UNESCO Sites in the Adriatic, which is coordinated by the Center for Conservation and Archaeology Montenegro, who engaged NGO Expeditio as external expert to assist in the implementation of these activities.

 At the workshop Sustainable Management of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Adriatic will be held presentation Lessons learned in the management of World Heritage Sites by architect Katri Lisitzin from Sweden. Thereafter will be held panel discussion with presentations on management process and sustainable valorization of UNESCO Sites in the Adriatic, which will be attended by all partners involved in the project ."

EXPEDITIO is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to encourage sustainable spatial development in Montenegro and SEE region through activity in the fields of sustainable architecture, cultural heritage, urban planning and through projects that encourage overall development of the civil society. Expeditio was established in 1997.
