Democratic Leadership School held a workshop for representatives of non-governmental sector in order to strengthen their role in the field of energy efficiency and parliamentary processes. Within the workshop, which was held at the Civil Alliance on January 30th, 2015, representative of EXPEDITIO Biljana Gligoric held a lecture.
"Expeditio" program manager, Biljana Gligoric, talked about energy efficiency measures. In addition to representatives of NGOs, at the workshop participated director of the Directorate for Energy Efficiency in Ministry of Economy - Dragica Sekulic, who presented the process of adoption of the new Law on the Efficient Use of Energy and its implementation. The participation also had a deputy and president of the Committee for Economy, Finance and Budget in the Parliament of Montenegro - Aleksandar Damjanovic, who spoke about the role of Parliament in the field of energy efficiency. Regional initiative on public dialogue on sustainable energy use and energy efficiency was presented by the project manager at GIZ Jasna Sekulovic.
The workshop is part of the third phase of the project "Public Dialogue on Sustainable Use of Energy and Energy Efficiency" which DLS continuously implements for the fourth consecutive year in cooperation with the six schools of political studies from the region and with the support of the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) and its Open Regional Fund for energy efficiency. Support to this phase of the project was provided by the Federal German Foundation for the Environment.
