pozivnica prozoriWe invite you to the presentation "Traditional techniques and materials -Restoration of wooden windows" which will be held on Monday May 4th 2015 at 20:00h in the Gallery of Solidarity in Kotor. The presentation is organized as part of the Work Camp on restoration of wooden windows, which was organized by EXPEDITIO in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage without Borders - CHwB within the project "Traditional materials and building techniques in Boka Kotorska," which is funded by the Headley Trust from the UK.

The aim of this project is to increase knowledge and awareness on the use of traditional crafts, techniques and materials in the process of restoration and maintenance of the built heritage.

The focus of this two-year project will be the use of lime mortar and restoration of traditional wooden windows. Restoration camp of wooden windows will take place in the period May 4-6th 2015, on Slavijan Reading Room in Dobrota (local Municiplaity building). The presentation is work camp accompanying activity, itended to draw attention to the value and importance of preserving wooden windows, and the importance of using traditional techniques and materials.
