JAVNI PROSTORI PROSTORI GRAĐANAWe invite you to participate in the workshop: PUBLIC SPACES – THE SPACES FOR CITIZENS. The workshop will focus on the use by NGOs of municipality/state owned spaces. The workshop will be held in Herceg Novi, in Dom omladine Herceg Novi, Marka Cara 8, on Saturday, 8 October 2016 at 10 a.m.

The workshop will be organized by NGO Expeditio from Kotor in cooperation with the following associations: Operacija GRAD from Zagreb, Ministry of Space from Belgrade, Institute for Spatial Policies from Ljubljana, Urban Nova and OKC Herceg Novi from Herceg Novi, Agora from Budva, Napredak from Gornja Lastva and Our Action from Kotor.

The aim of the workshop PUBLIC SPACES – THE SPACES FOR CITIZENS is to openly talk about future activities related to improving the framework for the work of NGOs through transparent allocations of spaces owned by municipalities/the state. We invite representatives of NGOs and Local governments from the area of Boka Kotorska (Kotor, Tivat, Herceg Novi and Budva)  to take part in the workshop which will be held in Dom omladine Herceg Novi, on Saturday, 8 October 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (a detailed agenda will be sent subsequently).

The workshop will be run by Teodor Celakoski from Zagreb, one of the leading activists of independent cultural scene in Zagreb, who has been dealing for years now with the models of cooperation between cultural institutions and civil society in Zagreb, and in the broader area of Croatia and Former Yugoslavia. Celakoski is one of the key initiators of numerous Croatian platforms, networks, permanent initiatives and institutions – Multimedia institute MaMa, Clubtura, Pravo na grad / Right to the city, POGON, Zaklad Kultura nova. Advocating the integration of public interest into cultural policies and spatial planning he is an initiator of cooperation between civil society, independent cultural organizations and public institutions.

The workshop will be attended by representatives of the project partner Ministry of Space from Belgrade.

Travel expenses for participants from Kotor, Tivat and Budva will be reimbursed. Maximal number of participants is 20.
