The conference is the 7th and final event of the project “NEW IDEAS FOR OLD BUILDINGS” which gathers seven small and medium sized towns from six countries from the Baltic to the Balkans (Latvia, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegro).
The project partnership dedicated their efforts to improve public property management in towns which are facing economic and social decline by increasing real estate occupancy with public participation. They are motivated to find solutions for revitalising their towns and enhance the quality of life.
The first day of the final event will focus on the role of NGOs in managing the empty buildings in Maribor. At the final conference on the second day of the event we will focus on the outcomes of the overall project as well as and the guidelines on how to effectively manage public property.

The project has been cofounded by the EU Europe for Citizens programme.
