On 12 May 2011, a round table entitled “Sustainable Architecture - From Luxury to Necessity” was held In Podgorica. The round table was organized within a large ecological campaign “Ecological Link that Connects Us” launched by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.

The round table was opened by Mr. Nicola Bertolini, the Head of Operations in the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, Ms. Ivana Vojinović, Deputy Minister for Environment and Mr. Peter Bonin, Country Director of the GIZ Coordination Office Montenegro. Speakers and participants in the round table discussions included university professors specializing in the fields of architecture and civil engineering, representatives of NGOs active in the same fields, representatives of larger architectural and construction companies and bureaus in Montenegro, representatives of the GIZ Montenegro, etc.

The following speakers took part in the round table: Dušan Vuksanović, professor at the University of Montenegro, Mladen Krekić, director of the Architectural Bureau “Business Art”, Biljana Gligorić, representative of NGO Expeditio and Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development; Miodrag Burzan, member of the National Council for Sustainable Development, Nenad Kažić, professor at the University of Montenegro, Sanja Lješković, Deputy Minister for Spatial Planning, Predrag Babić, director of CAU (Center for Architecture and Urban Planning) and Nebojša Adžić, from the Architectural Bureau “Arhitektonika”.
