Architectural Studio Sinestezia from Belgrade organized an international architectural competition for the Preliminary Architectural Design for the Boka Artist Residence in Boka Kotorska. By the decision of an international jury composed of seven members, including a representative of Expeditio, the winner is a Japanese architect Tomohiro Hata from Kobe.

During the competition, organized at the beginning of April 2012, 30 entries from 17 countries were received. The second place was won by a team of architects from Ljubljana, composed of Ziga Misjak, Vesna Lenart, Jana Petković, while the third place belonged to an architectural team from Taiwan, consisting of Kuan-yi Ho, Kuan-chi Feng, Pei-chi Chen, Chun-ren Shih. The winner,Tomohiro Hata, lives and works in Kobe, where he has an architectural studio. He has won several awards, including a prestigious WAN House of the Year 2011 (for the Complex House).
