On Saturday, 10 November 2012, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., an “Interaction in space” event was held in the new Karpoš 3 square in Skopje, Macedonia. The event was part of the project “Revival of City Squares in Balkan Cities” and the initiative “United neighbours contributing to space development actions”. This event gathered citizens living in the new square neighbourhood as well as passers-by.
The event was a performance held by the Drama College students, focusing on the topic of interaction between people and space. As its most interesting segment, the performance involved children who used natural materials (stones, leaves, twigs, grass, etc.) in order to make different pictures/figures in the unpaved area of the square. The participants also took part in painting birdhouses for the nearby trees. Thanks to this action, the new Karpoš 3 square obtained new features created by a joint contribution of its neighbours.
The event was organized by the Coalition for Sustainable Development – Kor, Skopje.
