masa-prezentujeIn Kotor, on Thursday, 20 December 2012 at 7 p. m., a presentation of activities of the Association Prostorož from Ljubljana was organized.  The presentation was held in the Gallery of Solidarity (Flour Square) in the Old Town of Kotor. It was attended by about 35 people.

The ProstoRož association sprung into life in 2004 as a spontaneous answer to a desire to explore and understand open city space. ProstoRož explores, examines and opens new possibilities of public space use in accordance with the needs of its inhabitants and tries to reveal how sometimes minimal means and small interventions are enough to present the city’s inhabitants and visitors with pleasant spaces for hanging out, playing or working in the open air.

"At the presentation, ProstoRož members presented numerous interventions in public spaces this association implemented in Ljubljana, Vienna, Demark, France and other cities and countries.  The interventions were usually undertaken upon the invitations of authorities and mayors of the cities who wanted to shape their public spaces in accordance with the desires and needs of their inhabitants. After interventions numerous spaces became availabe to citizens, while the citizens themselves became aware of the quality of space they have. Numerous visitor had the chance to become acquainted with new ideas and solutions for the shaping of public spaces that are different and informal and, following the intervnetions of ProstoRož,  give the public spaces a new sense of gathering and usage for the satisfaction of its inhabitants."
