Cultural heritage - between theory and practice - Montenegrin and French experience, November 29th, 2013

Ministry of Culture and Petrovic Njegos Foundation, in collaboration with the French Institute in Montenegro, School Chaillot from Paris (Ecole de Chaillot de Paris), Directorate for the Protection of Cultural Properties and NGO Expeditio from Kotor, invites you to the workshop “Cultural heritage - between theory and practice - Montenegrin and French experience” . Workshop is a part of European Heritage Days 2013 and it will be held on November 29th, 2013 at the Ministry of Culture in Cetinje.

HERITAGE - between theory and practice - MONTENEGRIN AND FRENCH EXPERIENCE

Manifestation Days of European Heritage each year celebrates 50 states signatories of the European Cultural Convention, by which cultural heritage becomes the epicenter of social events. The aim of the event is to, through a new, interactive methods, cultural heritage make available to the public, stressing the unity of diversity of common European heritage.

Montenegro is successfully implementing Days of European Heritage, for the sixth year, with the aim to celebrate the wealth of spiritual and cultural heritage as a common European past.

Discussion on the topic Cultural Heritage - between theory and practice, represents the first part of the celebration Days of European Heritage 2013., dedicated to Montenegrin and French experience in the protection and preservation of cultural heritage, while the second part will be organized in the month of December, which will include organizing exhibitions at the Ministry of Culture, the National Museum of Montenegro, the Directorate for the Protection of Cultural Property and the Center for Conservation and Archaeology, based on the promotion of the produced projects parts through the period of reform in the field of cultural heritage in Montenegro, with a focus on projects from the Program of protection and preservation of cultural property for the years 2012 and 2013, multi-year research project Paths of continuity, Revaluation of Cultural Property in Montenegro.
