In the mid of 2013, from the press came out :  "Manual for the implementation of energy audits of buildings", which aims to improve energy efficiency in Montenegro. In preparing of this publication participated representative of Expeditio, Biljana Gligoric. Press was supported by German Society for International Cooperation - GIZ.

From the introduction of PUBLICATION

German Society for International Cooperation ( Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale · Zusammenarbeit GIZ ) SINCE 2008, through their project,  actively works on improving and promotion of energy efficiency in Montenegro .

The necessity of an energy efficiency improvements in buildings in Montenegro is seen on numerous examples. Perhaps the best indicator of energy efficiency is energy consumption per square meter, at annual level we conclude that our facilities, compared to the same purpose facilities in Western Europe, consume 3-4 times more energy to meet the same needs. In some cases, if we compare with the facilities that are built to "passive house" standards, this difference can be extreme, even · ten or more times.

One of the project goals was training of professional entities for conducting energy audits of buildings. Therefore, within the project are realized many trainings for engineers who are certified by the Ministry of Economy that they are trained to do this kind of audit of objects.

After several years of pioneering work in the field of energy  efficiency, energy audits of buildings, proposals and implementation of measures to increase energy efficiency, as a logical sequence is indicated the need for unification of knowledge and practical experience of the work in the field, the need to prepare and publishe one manual, like this, which will provide a safe sequence of steps in the development of energy audit to current and future energy auditors , and thus ensure their quality.

GIZ is pleased to support the preparation and issuance of this manual as an important and meaningful step with a aim of improving energy efficiency in Montenegro.
