As part of the participatory process of the project "Heritage - Driver of Development" in the Friday, 7.02.2014. in the House of Culture in Upper Lastva, starting at 17 am, was held meeting of focus group with citizens who have houses and lands at Vrmac whose attitudes and opinions about the heritage and values of the pilot area Vrmac may be relevant for making a final study.
Project ''Heritage-Driver of Development'', which is being implemented under the IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Montenegro and is funded by the European Union, is implemented by the Municipality of Tivat, NGO Expeditio from Kotor and Cultural Association Native Progress Upper Lastva. The aim of the project is to find models of simultaneous protection and economic valorization of cultural and natural heritage; pilot area of research and development of the final study of evaluation is the area of the hill Vrmac.
Public participation, involvement of citizens, professionals, businessmen, politicians and decision-makers is of particular importance when designing such studies. Therefore, the participatory process is one of the most important segments of the project "Heritage-Driver of Development".
