Committee for Energy Efficiency and Environment Protection was constituted in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro on April 17th, 2014. For the president is elected Mladen Bajković from ETG group, while his deputy is Biljana Gligoric from NGO Expeditio. Committee Code of Practise, as well as its Work Program are adopted.
Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro Ivan Saveljic pointed out that this Committee is very important because it can be a significant driver of jobs in the field of energy efficiency and environmental protection.
- The Committee will deal with monitoring and promotion of these two important segments - energy efficiency and environmental protection. It will proponent measures to improve business conditions, including the incorporation of the requirements for meeting standards related to these areas in all segments of the companies business (design, construction, energy consumption, waste...) - said Saveljic among other things.
President Bajković invited members of the Committee on intensive participation and at monthly meetings at which they will discuss strategies and current topics in the field of energy efficiency and environmental protection. He expressed satisfaction that the Committee is made up of businessmen, representatives of ministries and academia, as well as consulting firms.
Committee members are confident that line ministries will support them. They evaluated the need to mobilize all experts since Montenegro is expected to have a realization of many important projects in the field of energy efficiency and environmental protection.
