First workshop on the Development of the Management Plan for the fortification Besac, Virpazar 01.08.2014.

Within the process of development of the Management Plan for fortification Besac on Skadar Lake, NGO Expeditio held the first of three planned workshops with stakeholders. The workshop was held on August 1st 2014, at hotel "Vir" in Virpazar.

The aim was to, through this first workshop, in collaboration with all stakeholders, receive significant guidance for finding the appropriate long-term management models in the next phase.

During the workshop were held introductory lectures on the Ljubljana Process II, HERA project, as well as the characteristics of fortifications Besac and researches that have been done on it. After the lecture, discusion which was attended by all stakeholders, was open and it resulted with SWOT analysis as well as initial guidance on the vision of the fortification.

Development of the Management Plan for fortification Besac is realized in the framework of the Ljubljana Process II: Rehabilitation of our mutual cultural heritage, which is funded through a grant of the European Union "Sustainable rehabilitation of cultural heritage in the Western Balkans". EXPEDITIO from Kotor, in cooperation with partners from the region, organizations: cultural Heritage without Borders CHwB (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo), Co-PLAN (Albania) and Europa Nostra Serbia (Serbia) makes consortium that received the tender for Development of management plans for cultural goods, with training, and is responsible for development of the Management Plan for fortification Besac.
