Presentation of activities in the pilot area of Vrmac, held in Tivat, and the final conference in Dubrovnik, represented conclusion of the implementation of the IPA cross-border project "Heritage - Driver of Development", realized in the framework of cross-border cooperation between Montenegro and Croatia with the overall support of the EU Delegation in the amount of more than 550 thousand euros.
The main objective of this project was to contribute to the establishment of cooperation between the institutions of the two countries, which were responsible for the protection and management of natural and cultural heritage and cultural landscape, and through joint activities in the field of education, application of new methodologies, exchange of experiences and awareness raising of general public about the value and potential of cross-border heritage of Boka Kotorska region and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
The project, which in Croatia was led by the Department of Planning Dubrovnik-Neretva County, in cooperation with the Regional Development Agency DUNEA, and the Public Institution for Management of Protected Natural Values in Dubrovnik-Neretva County,will be formally completed on Tuesday, February 10th.
