Aim of the project

The aim of the project “Promoting the Principles of Sustainable Development
in Public Spaces of Boka Kotorska” is to implement various interventions in
some of the public spaces identified through the realized process of “Mapping
of public spaces”, making them, in that way, experimental fields for promoting
sustainable development ideas. The project began in March 2012.

 Activities

• Realized interventions in at least three neglected public spaces in Boka
Kotorska through activities that reflect the principles of sustainable
development;
• Developed model for promoting sustainable development principles in public
spaces that can be used for other communities/public spaces in Montenegro;
• Increased level of education of citizens on sustainable development through
activities in public spaces of Boka Kotorska and through promoting good
practices examples.

 Outcome/results

• Workshop and presentation on permaculture, Kavac, Montenegro
• Activity in the public space: “Yoga in the park”
• Activity on rising awarenes on sustainable development “Tristan” sculpture,
collaboration at the project “Tree diary”
• Instalation “Stories under the Walt”, Prostoroz from Ljubljana
• Children competition “The Future I Want”
• Workshops for kids on murals painting “The Future I Want”
• PARK(ing) day 2013
• Exhibition “History That Does Not Exist”
• Workshop “Mappping of the Women Spaces”
