Final presentation of the results of the workshop “Kotor City Squares”, 3 September 2011

The final presentation of the results of the workshop “Kotor City Squares” was held in Kotor, at Bizanti Palace (Assembly Hall), on Saturday, 3 September 2011.

The workshop “Kotor City Squares” was organized within the project “Revival of City Squares in Balkan Cities”. It was held in the period 29 August - 4 September 2011. The participants were students and young professionals from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. It was moderated by Professor Ružica Božović Stamenović. The project “Revival of City Squares in Balkan Cities” aims to contribute to the revival of city squares as viable public places that foster cultural identity and promote diversity through enforcement of public policies and active community participation. It is conducted in partnership of the organizations Co-PLAN and U-Polis from Albania, the Coalition for Sustainable Development from Macedonia and EXPEDITIO, Montenegro.  The project is funded by the Swiss Cultural Programme in the Western Balkans (SCP) under the Regional Cooperation Projects programme line. Three workshops, which are implemented within the project, including this one in Kotor, are supported by the Foundation Open Society Macedonia (FOSIM) through the East East: Partnership beyond Borders Program.

The workshop “Kotor City Squares” was organized by EXPEDITIO as one of the partners in the project “Revival of City Squares in Balkan Cities”.
