Coalition for Sustainable Development from Macedonia organised round table discussion with representatives from the local governments in Skopje - “Current Practices and Challenges”, on 8th June, 2012.
The purpose of this forum was to share and exchange information on the practices and challenges faced by the local governments in Skopje the process of planning and shaping of the squares and public spaces. Our intention in the next phase is to “merge” local government representatives with the citizens with aim to try to find the best and most efficient way to reach a "win-win" situation in which both (conditionally opposing) sides will be satisfied. Also, suggestions and ideas from these meetings and workshops will be an important input in the preparation of the guidelines for the local governments (nut also for other interested parties) how to revive the city squares and public spaces.
