SOSTENUTO - Economic and Social Innovations in the Field of Culture and
Creation Activities

The general objective of the Sostenuto project is to reinforce the capacities
of innovation in the MED space by the cultural and creative sector through
a support to the potential of growth, innovation and competitiveness of this
sector as well as through its integration in the local economies. In Montenegro,
the Sostenuto project is aimed at improving cooperation between institutions
and organizations in the field of culture in Boka Kotorska.

Activities in Montenegro:
• Creating a database of cultural stakeholders in the area of Boke Kotorske
• Workshop: Strategic planning of culture at the local level
• Workshop initiating the process of creation of cultural strategies of
municipalities in Boka Bay – Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi
• Creating a web page www.strategija.bokabay.info
• Organizing a series of thematic round tables/focus groups in Kotor, Tivat and
Herceg Novi
• Workshops for defining of strategic goals and priorities in Tivat, Kotor and
Herceg Novi
• Meeting of non-governmental organizations and associations from the territory
of the municipalities of Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi
• Conducting individual interviews with important cultural stakeholders
• Developing a draft of Local Cultural Programmes for the Municipalities of Kotor,
Tivat and Herceg Novi
• Collecting information of financial and human resources of the Municipalities
and cultural institutions
• Analyzing international, national and local documents referring to culture
• Mapping tangible and intangible cultrual heritage
• Researching cultural practices of the citizens of municipalities in Boka Kotorska
• Researching cultural practices of the citizens of municipalities Kotor, Tivat, and
Herceg Novi
• Public spaces mapping in Boka Kotorska
• Workshops for defining priority projects within the preparation of Local
Cultural Programmes in Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi
• Creating 3 publications - contributions for the Local Cultural Programmes for
the Municipalities of Kotor,Tivat and Herceg Novi
• Translating Guide to Citizen Participation in Local Cultural Policy Development
for European Cities, Dragojevic Sanjin, Jordi Pascual i Ruiz
