After last week’s visit of the delegation of Dubrovnik-Neretva County to Tivat, presentation of the joint cross-border project “Heritage-Driver of Development” continued in Dubrovnik today.

A Grant Awarding Ceremony was held at Hotel Maestral in Budva on 26 April 2013 in order to officially promote the grants awarded to project proposals submitted under the 2nd Call within the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Montenegro 2007-2013.

Tivat, 22 April 2013 (Radio Dux) – “Hiritage–Driver of Development” is a new project of cross-border cooperation between Boka Kotorska and Dubrovnik-Neretva County, presented today in Tivat.

This project, funded from IPA funds of the EU, will last 23 months.  Its total budget is 554.983,26 €, out of which 293,945.05 € is intended for the activities in Montenegro and 261,038.21 € for the activities in Croatia.

We want to inform you about the beginning of the project “Heritage – Driver of Development, Dubrovnik and Boka Kotorska region – joint cross border activities in applying new methodologies in natural and cultural heritage protection and management”. The project officially begun in March 2013 and it will last for 23 months.

In the Municipality of Tivat on Monday (March 25th) was held the first Steering Committee meeting of the project "Heritage-Driver for Development, region of Dubrovnik and the Bay of Kotor - joint activities in the application of new methodologies in the protection and management of natural and cultural heritage", in the framework of cross-border cooperation between the Croatia and Montenegro in the framework of the measure 1.1. The meeting was attended by partners from the Croatia: Helena Kangjera (RRA DUNEA), Melanija Milic (RRA DUNEA), Marina Oreb (ZZPU DNC), Marijana Miljas (nature protection DNC), Stjepko Kovacic (ZZPU DNC), Barbara Savin (ZZPU DNC), Silvana Taslaman (ZZPU DNC), Nikola Karaman (ZZPU DNC).
