
Project that will be realized in a partnership with NVO Green Home has been approved to our organization. Project is entitled "EKOPlan - Monitoring implementation of sustainable spatial development and environmental protection in the spatial planning documents in Montenegro".The project aims to encourage application of the principles of sustainable development and environmental protection in the spatial planning documents in Montenegro, through analysis and monitoring of program tasks, plans, projects and legistative as well as research of legislation application and its impact on citizens. The donor is: Foundation Open Society Institute - Representative Office Montenegro (FOSI ROM).
On Thursday, 8 December, starting at 11:00 a.m., the NGO “Green Home” and the NGO “Expeditio” held the round table dealing with “Programme Tasks Leading toward Sustainable Spatial Planning”. The recommendations on how to improve the existing programme tasks with the observance of the sustainable development principle were presented at the round table. The recommendations were given based on the performed collection and analysis of app. 150 programme tasks from all municipalities in Montenegro.
Workshop aiming to raise the level of knowledge on basic principles of environmental protection and sustainable spatial development, as well as on EU recommendations and experiences, targeted at the representatives of state institutions at all levels, was organized in the frame of the project “EkoPlan – Monitoring of the implementation of sustainable spatial development principle and environmental protection the spatial planning documents in Montenegro”. The main topic was How to improve the programming tasks in order to enable direct implementation of the abovementioned principles in the spatial planning documents.
At the end of 2010, Expeditio was approved a grant for the implementation of the project “EKOPlan - Monitoring the application of the principles of sustainable spatial development and environmental protection in the spatial planning documents in Montenegro”. The project will be conducted in partnership with the NGO Green Home from Podgorica.
The project aims to encourage the application of the principles of sustainable spatial development and environmental protection in the spatial planning documents in Montenegro, through analysing and monitoring terms of reference, plans, projects and planning legistative, as well as through researching the level of law enforcement and its impact on the citizens. The amount of the grant is € 27,390.00. The project will be implemented during 2011.
