Publications

The publication "Godinje – an architectural workshop" has been published by EXPEDITIO. The publication sets out the research conducted within students’ architectural workshop in the village of Godinje on Skadar Lake (in May 2004). The dimensions of the publication are 22x16 cm; it is done in full colour, on 50 pages.

The funds for the publication were obtained at the competition for publishing activity launched by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Montenegro, supplemented with the donation from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

"The European Urban Charter" treats the development and concept of a town in Europe, the elements of urban life (local democracy, urban policies, cooperation of towns, urban rights), as well as the principles which should be foundation of all individual aspects of urban life, such as: transport and mobility, environment and nature in towns, physical form of cities, urban architectural heritage, housing, urban security and crime prevention, disadvantaged and disabled persons in towns, sport and leisure in urban areas, culture, multicultural integration, urban management and urban planning, economic development in cities. icon Evropska gradska povelja / Vracanje gradskih ulica ljudima |prevod| (1.91 MB)

In the field of sustainable architecture we have translated and published "Green Paper on Energy Efficiency" which treats the measures for improving energy efficiency, specific energy policy measures, as well as the actions that should be undertaken at Community, national, regional and local levels in order to establish and promote best practice through national action plans, in various areas: buildings, domestic appliances, limiting the fuel consumption of vehicles, industry, transport, labelling of products on energy efficiency, informing and protecting consumers, tyres, aviation, regulation of supply network activities, electricity generation, optimizing traffic management, developing a market for clean vehicles and products, research and technological development.

"ESDP European Spatial Development Perspective – Towards Balanced and Sustainable Development of the Territory of the European Union" represents a result of the agreement of the Member States of the European Union and the members of the European Commission on common objectives and concepts for the future development of the territory of the European Union. The ESDP is a suitable policy framework for the sectoral policies of the Community and the Member States that have spatial impacts, as well as for regional and local authorities, aimed at achieving a balanced and sustainable development of the European territory. It is also a suitable reference document for encouraging co-operation, while at the same time respecting the principle of subsidiarity.

perast-vodicEXPEDITIO has published a GUIDE TO PERAST in Montenegrin and English. In an interesting way and with lots of high-quality photographs the guide presents cultural and historical heritage of Perast and brings information about the location and history of Perast, important buildings in the town (churches, palaces, the fortress, etc.), as well as traditional events and additional information.

vrata-1The publication “The doors in the traditional architecture of the Boka Kotorska and their conservation” is the result of cooperation between EXPEDITIO and the Svenska byggnadsvårdsföreningen – the Swedish Association for Building Preservation following the restoration volunteer camps carried out in Perast.
Volunteer restoration camps are one of the possible and very positive aspects of non-governmental organizations that are concerned with heritage protection.
